Professional Background

Alumnus from Ecole Polytechnique (Paris). PhD in theoretical physics (UC Berkeley, 1982). Worked 2 years for Cray Research, then made it back to the academia. Adjunct associate professor of physics (U of Minnesota), adjunct fellow of the Minnesota Supercomputer Institute. Permanent at ETH since 1989.
